Central Park West Art Deco Walk with Anthony Robins
Rescheduled to Monday, June 17th 6:00-8:00pm
Join acclaimed Art Deco expert and architectural historian, Anthony Robins, for a captivating walking tour along Central Park West and an up-close look at many of the Art Deco gems that form Manhattan’s major residential skyline. We’ll explore how an exciting new architectural style brought 1920s color and jazz to the formerly sedate avenue. This full two-hour tour will take us along one of the most acclaimed sections of Central Park West architecture. You've stared at them in wonder -- the iconic twin-towered skyscraper apartment buildings known as the Century, the Majestic, and the Eldorado -- this is your chance to learn from a true expert how a new approach to aesthetics, craftsmanship and materials combined to create these enduring symbols of luxury and modernity.
